SEU Trades meets industry needs by training a new generation of spiritually-formed, skilled professionals to serve Christ, their communities, and their churches. SEU is uniquely positioned to provide a holistic, faith-based curriculum while at the same time training for specific trades. SEU Carolina offers trades such as, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Construction, and Project management.Through SEU Trades, we will serve industry, the church, and the Kingdom by offering skilled labor programs, mentor-rich apprenticeships, and spiritual formation as part of our menu of access to affordable and accessible higher education.

The SEU Carolina School of Trades is one school with majors in different areas - Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Construction, and Project Management.


Sample Core Courses

  • HVAC AND ELECTRICAL (CNST 2113) —This course is designed to cover the basicelectricalsafety andelectricaltheory such as Ohms Law, circuit schematics and circuit characteristics/symbols as it applies to DC and AC circuits in the HVACR industry. Basic control circuits, sequence of operation for basic HVACR applications and electric motor theory, as well as specific information on HVACRelectricalcomponent devices will also be covered.

  • APPLIED PROJECT MANAGEMENT (PRJM 2013) — This course will enable students to effectively use industry-recognizedprojectmanagement software. Students will learn to effectively manage aprojectby breaking it down into manageable parts and creating a schedule outline with task dependencies. They will apply these skills in real-world scenarios, utilizing resources and calendars to track schedules and costs, employing Earned Value Management and the Critical Path Method to ensure timely completion. Students will communicate progress through engaging status reports and correctly close the project for future reference.

  • FUNDAMENTALS OF PLUMBING (CNST 2123) — This course introduces basicplumbingtools, materials, and fixtures. Topics include standard tools, materials, and fixtures used in basicplumbingsystems and other related topics. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of a basicplumbingsystem.

The Electrical Technician Services degree will provide you with the skills, tools, theories and safety protocols required for success in the highly-skilled electrician field

Construction Technology

The Construction Technology degree will provide you with both a solid foundation in construction management and knowledge of the latest technology available in this ever-growing industry.


HVAC Technician Services

The HVAC Technician Services degree will provide you with the skills, tools, theories and safety protocols required to effectively install, diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems.

Project Management

The Project Management degree will provide you with a solid foundation in project management. Gain the well-rounded knowledge you need to be able to adapt your skills to multiple industries, such as construction, IT, engineering, and more.


Plumbing Technician Services
