In the early morning hours of August 19th, Sydney Tolbert, sophomore of SEU Carolina left earth to touch the face of God. While on her way to work when she was hit head by another car.
Both her and the driver were killed instantly.

Sydney was a sweet girl with a gentle spirit. She had a heart for kids and loved Jesus. In her last days, she spent time on Oak Island for a beach retreat with her friends. It was here she was able to do something that many are not able to achieve in a lifetime. She discovered her purpose. She knew she was called to be a children's pastor and was excited to pursue that call this semester.

Today, while she is no longer with us, we know she is in Heaven fulfilling her call as she walks with Jesus. And we are confident that she is looking down on us today
cheering us on in the Hall of Faith.
