Study Abroad

At SEU Carolina, we want every student to have the opportunity to have an educational experience that extends beyond the four walls of the classroom. While the classroom experience delivers an important depth of knowledge, there comes a time when students need to apply that knowledge off campus in real world experiences.

We believe experiential education is so important that we are giving students the opportunity to take a study abroad trip on the missions field their sophomore year and even study abroad their senior year in Israel before they graduate. These adventures will give you the opportunity to experience places you’ve only seen in pictures — all while learning new skills, and earning course credit.

Programs span 1–2 weeks in length and occur on alternate years so that students have the time to prepare culturally and financially. For more information about these immersive educational experiences, explore below.

Sophomore Year: Missions Trip Experience

Before every student graduates, we want them to have the opportunity to go on a missions trip somewhere outside of the United States. We have relationships with different missionaries in strategic locations across the globe that provide our students with immersive learning experiences. These locations include places like Nambia, Hungary, Nicaragua, Haiti, Cuba, and more. This trip will be an introductory missions trip and will be perfect for the student that has never traveled outside of the US or been on a missions trip before. After this trip, you will be more globally aware and more knowledgeable than you were before.

Senior Year: Israel Holy Land Experience

College should be one of the most memorable moments of your life. And we couldn’t think of anything more memorable than getting to travel to Israel your senior year of college. During this trip, you will get to see firsthand many of the places that you have been learning about throughout your college career. You will walk along the Jordan River where Jesus was Baptized, stand on the Mount of Beattititudes where Jesus delivered the Sermon of the Mount, and visit the Western Wall in Jerusalem and more. No matter where you go or what you will see, the Bible will come to life in a whole new way like never before.

Attention: Due to the conflict currently taking place in the Middle East, study abroad trips to Israel have been put on hold. An alternative destination will be provided.
