Sample Core Courses

  • Principled Leadership (LDRS 2123) — This course will examine patterns and styles of leadership in a business environment from biblical and Christian perspectives. Special attention will be given to the development of a leader’s personal life, including spiritual formation; personal ethics; decision-making; and integrating faith, learning and work.

  • Cross-Cultural Leadership (LDRS 3003) — This course introduces students to the challenges and impact of leadership within a cross-cultural framework. It examines cultural values, practices and patterns of communication that exist within various cultures, with an emphasis on cultural intelligence.

  • Essentials of Management (BBUS 3203) — This survey course introduces the theories of management and emphasizes the basic management functions of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling organizations. The course emphasizes the functions of management with appropriate quantitative and behavioral concepts and encourages students to develop a set of professional ethics from a Christian world-view.

  • Essentials of Marketing (BBUS 3303) — This course examines the structures, functions and behaviors of marketing systems. The basic exchange functions of pricing, product development and management, promotion and distribution are studied within the contexts of decision-making, consumer satisfaction, and the environments of business.

The SEU Carolina School of Business is designed to prepare you to serve at a high capacity in business. To make that a reality, the School of Business has partnered with small business owners, city government officials, and multimillion dollar corporations to provide a hands on learning experience for its students. Not only will students receive college credit for this practicum experience, but it will also help students establish strong industry connections that lead to jobs after graduation.

Not only is our faculty and staff proficient in their fields but they are dedicated to providing a safe, exciting, and educational experience for every student.

scholarships available

Students who are admitted into the SEU Carolina School of Business are eligible to receive a scholarship in the amount of $1,700 an academic year. This scholarship covers the cost of the hands-on learning experience that students gain while participating in practicum. That’s a value of 3 credit hours per semester that counts toward general electives and a savings of $7,119 over a four year period.
